Bishop Ray Campbell Ideal Family Church is on M-F 10:30-11:30
Bishop Ray Campbell was born and raised in Crosby, Mississippi and is the oldest of five children. He received his education in the public school system and his Bachelor’s degree from Alcorn State University. He earned his Master’s degree from Dallas Baptist University and continued to further his education by completing his doctorate work at Vision International University.
He was called into the ministry in 1968. In 1970, he organized Ideal Pentecostal Church which started out at as a small, store front church in South Dallas with 3 members. Bishop Campbell has declared the word and led his flock at the same church for 50 years where he continues to teach about faith in God alone.
Bishop Campbell is an international preacher and teacher traveling as far as Africa to declare the Word of God. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his work in the ministry including Pastor of the Year and an induction into the Religious Hall of Fame. He has also received many
commendations and proclamations from the House of Representatives and the Mayor of the City of Dallas.
Bishop Campbell is also a playwright. He wrote The Lost Son and the award winning play highlighting the epidemic of violence, What’s Behind The Make-Up.
Bishop Campbell has been the host of the Hour of Faith Broadcast for 30 years.
God has blessed Bishop Campbell to come a long way from his humble beginnings. He gives all praise and glory to God because he knows that without God, he is nothing. He is married to Shelia Campbell and they have five children, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
